Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the use of the ‘OnBook’ AI-powered story creation and viewer service (the "Service") provided to users ("User" or "You"), defining the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company and the User.

Article 2 (Use and Refund of 'Ink')

• Users may purchase 'Ink' (hereinafter "Paid Ink") to generate AI stories.
• The Company may grant "Free Ink" to Users through events, coupon code redemption, etc.
• Consumption Priority: When generating a story, Ink with the nearest expiration date is consumed first. Paid Ink, which has no expiration date, is always consumed last.
• Expiration of Free Ink: Free Ink must be used within the specified expiration period (default 30 days) and will automatically expire thereafter without notice. Free Ink cannot be refunded for cash or transferred to others. Paid Ink does not expire.
• When a story generation begins, Ink is reserved (pending deduction) and is confirmed-deducted upon successful completion. Once generation has started, cancellations or refunds are not possible due to AI server resource consumption.
• Refunds for Paid Ink are subject to Apple Inc.’s payment and refund policies. Refund requests for unused Paid Ink must be submitted via Apple Support, and the refunded amount may exclude service fees in accordance with Apple’s policies.

Article 3 (AI Content and Usage Restrictions)

• The Service uses Google Gemini API. AI-generated content may not always be accurate or appropriate.
• Users must follow child safety guidelines. Inappropriate requests (violence, nudity, etc.) will be rejected.
• Restriction Policy: If inappropriate requests are attempted twice (2 times), the account will be restricted for 24 hours from using the service (story generation and Ink usage).
• The Company is not liable for any loss of promotional currency resulting from these restrictions.

Article 4 (Data Retention and User Responsibility)

• Generated story data is temporarily stored on the server for up to 30 days from the date of creation and is automatically deleted thereafter. Users must download the data to their devices within this period.
• Downloaded data is stored solely on the User's device. The Service is not responsible for data loss caused by device replacement, app deletion, or failure to back up.

Article 5 (Copyright and License of Content)

• In principle, the copyright of the fairy tales (including text and images) generated by the User through this Service shall belong to the User.
• Users may freely use the content they generate for both commercial and non-commercial purposes. However, the copyrightability of AI-generated works is subject to current laws and interpretations by relevant authorities, and the Company does not guarantee such copyright protection.
• Users agree that the Company may use the generated content within the necessary scope for service display, promotion, and improvement of AI models.
• Users must not generate content by entering prompts that infringe on the copyrights of others, and the User shall be solely responsible for any legal liability arising therefrom.
